The other day after Rylee got home from school, we decided to go get some popsicles and head over to the park, and of course I had to bring my camera along :) Rylee was all for posing for me, but Madden just wanted me to leave him alone so he could climb and go down the slides.

Last night I did Rylee's hair in pin curls for school today, and they turned out sooooo cute and held the curl all day. Her hair doesn't usually curl well, so I think we will be doing this more often! I pulled out my camera to take a few pictures before school, and she started posing and had to put on her sunglasses ha! my little model girl. Love her!!!

Duck Ponds

One of the kids favorite things to do is go to the duck ponds and feed the ducks out by the fairgrounds. We went out there the other day and I was able to snap a few pics of the kiddos feeding the hungry ducks some bread. They had to stand on the bridge though because the ducks come right up to them to get the bread, and my kids aren't so big on animals getting in their personal bubbles :)

Brandon has been looking for places to explore around here, and has found some pretty cool places we need to visit. The other day after he got off work, we decided to go visit one that was not too far from our house, The CCC Sanchez camp. I guess it was some kind of work program for single young men during the depression, and there where some rock buildings still standing. Really cool.

Madded was more interested in collecting rocks and throwing them than letting me take his picture.

so since i haven't posted in a long time, i thought i would share an up-to-date picture of the kiddos, and what they like to do, so here goes......

RyLeE-

rylee is everything girl, but also my tuff lil tomboy when she wants to be. she has to dress herself, because everything i pick is just not cool. if i do her hair, its undone in a couple of hours if i am lucky, and re-done by my rylee bug the way she wants it. she cannot be found without her lip gloss, but whatever makes her happy :) she loves to help me cook and bake, and is good at folding clothes which is a plus for me, because i hate folding clothes. rylee put together her whole outfit in this picture, including tying her own ribbon sash on, and doing her own hair. i love my rylee suzy-q

MAdDen-

i don't think they come anymore boy than madden....he turns everything into his "GUN" loves playin cowboys with rylee, has to always be wearing his "boots" (they are irrigation boots from his halloween costume, but he loves them) he loves to play outside on his bike, strip down to his diaper (tryin to potty train, but not goin so good) and roll around in the dirt. it sometimes feels pointless to give him a bath, becuase he just ends up dirty five minutes later anyways. his

favorite show is nitro circus, and i am afraid he is going to grow up to be a motocross racer because of his love of motorcycles and daredevil/fear of nothing. i love my little man :)

I think Rylee's favorite thing to do is take my camera and take random pictures. Actually they usually turn out pretty good, just weird stuff like the inside of the mailbox etc. Well this happened a couple of months ago, i found my camera with about 25 of these on it. Now if any of you know my sis hannah, and her posing in pictures, you will find this more funny than it already is.......

It has been a long time since i have posted........i know. i'm not going to try and catch up or anything, i will just start with halloween. Poor Rylee was sick so we didn't do much trick or treating, and my camera died just after we started so i didn't get many pictures. Rylee was a 50's girl and Madden was a fire fighter......yes his jacket is made out of good ol' duch tape. I thought it would be fun to make his jacket, and no it wasn't but it turned out pretty cool i thought.

I know I know I am such a blog slacker.........I don't know why it's so hard for me to post. First off we made a little trip down to the tucson zoo. the kids had such a fun time. Madden just ran from animal to animal, so i didn't really get any good pictures of him:

The next day this happened:

We went riding up the back of Mt. Graham with some friends, and Brandon took a spill on his dirt bike resulting in a very broken wrist/torn ligaments, a gash in his forehead and a nasty scraped up hand and knee. I took him to tucson for surgery on his wrist and it went very well. We will see how he handles being off work for the next two months :)

Lastly we got a little bit of snow that stuck for a little bit...........

so, a lady in my ward makes these frames, and I have been wanting one for a long time, but she sells them for fifty five bucks........ummmmmm what? not really in my budget, so my friend and I decided to make our own ( with the help of my brother and his tools :) we made them for five bucks a piece!!!!! ya! so now I don't know if i should put a vinyl saying on the frame, or just on the wall around it?

Brandon and I went up to flagstaff for the weekened ( first with no kids!) We went snowboarding for the first time on friday, and went all the way up to go on saturday but the lifts were closed, so we just messed around in the play area for a little while before heading home. It was fun to get away, but I am happy to be home again with my kiddos :)

Maddens new favorite thing

for those of you who don't know, Madden is an extremely picky eater..........I know you can't tell by the looks of that boy, but he is, and up until yesterday, he didn't really like grapes. He would chew on them a couple of times, and then spit them out.......until last night. Rylee had gotten out the bag of grapes, and Madden came over and started helping himself to the grapes. He couldn't shove them in fast enough, and the when I went to take a picture he started making the funniest faces! love that little guy ( by the way, I think he ate like 25-30 grapes before I took them away!)

We went down to thatcher saturday and sunday for connors baby blessing. We had a blast...this is the kids in car on the way up. while the kids where taking their nap,

me and Hyrum took the bikes out for a ride, and Brandon went golfing (golfing over riding?.......whatever) we had a huge bbq saturday night.....hamburgers, hotdogs, chicker scewers, fruit, strawberry shortcake...yum. Hyrums friens Cole brought over his shopping cart contraption with a roll cage........hillarious, we all took turns rolling in it. after that we went and saw Indiana Jones ( I thought it was stupid....sorry indiana jones fans) Went to the baby blessing on sunday, Hannah did Rylee's hair so cute, came home and took naps and had a yummy sunday dinner!

so if any of you know Rylee, you know this was bound to happen.......she's my little daredevil, and was bound to get some sort of injury sooner or later, I'm just glad it didn't involve blood or stitches. She climbed up on the kitchen counter, and I think she was trying to jump across to the other counter, and smacked head first onto the tile. the tuff little booger only cried for a minute. note the massive bruise (my camera doesn't do it justice)

Well, it's official.....we are no longer having to commute to Thatcher every week. Brandons last day was wednesday. While I did kinda enjoy my mini "vacation" every week, and am sad to leave my friends and family, I am glad to be in one place now. Yesterday I went MAJOR grocery shopping, that was fun, and now we can have fresh fruit and food again, cuz it won't go bad while we are gone :) I will miss our first little old house that we (or I :)......just kidding brandon) put soooooooo much work and tears into. I know it has been over 2 weeks since i've posted......sorry guys. we have just been busy still coming to thatcher during the week for Brandon's job. WOW! I can't believe its been 2 weeks since I posted.......sorry. We've been pretty busy and I have been going to thatcher with Brandon, so we haven't had a computer to post, but I know, still no excuse. We went down to Thatcher last week for Brandon's golf tournament ( a hospital fundraiser) his team came in third out of 18 teams, so not to bad! Madden has started saying a few words lately.... milk, snack bye bye, da-da, mom, and a few others, its too cute! Rylee's just Rylee......always telling me to calm down now! Love her!!!!! I will try to post more.....sorry guys :)

Today is a very sad day for me, our best friends have left us.........gone to Utah. I am so happy for them to be starting this new adventure for their family, but I can't help being selfish and just wanting them back here. Rylee keeps asking to "go to adi's house" :( Last night when we where saing goodbye, Adi came and gave me a hug, and I said " who is going to go with me to chik-fil-a now?" and she just started bawling and said she didn't want to leave her friends, so sad. well good luck guys and WE LOVE YOU!!!!

We are here in Mississippi visiting Brandon's parents until saturday. The kids are having a blast feeding the goats and cows, riding the golf cart, and playing in the sand box. yesterday we had a little tornado scare, and had to go down into the basement for about thirty minutes.....that was fun (not really) brandon didn't tell me about the tornadoes, otherwise he probably would have had a hard time getting me to come:) I promise pictures will be coming soon.

We had so much fun at the Hannah Montana 3d concert yesterday! (yes, i'm a fan........so what?) Rylee fell asleep about halfway through, but for the part she was awake at, had fun dancing and singing along with adi and pipes. My little guy is 11 months old today! I can't believe it! the time goes by sooooooo fast. He is walking all over the place now, following me EVERYWHERE I go, and his favorite place in the house is the bathroom trying to "wash" his hands in the toilet..........ugh. He loves food, but only people food, not that baby crap. He is ALWAYS happy, and is working on getting his two top teeth in right now. happy 11 months madds, I love you!!!!!!

I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted...my camera hasn't been workin for me, so I haven't had any pictures to post, and lets face it.....blogging is no fun without pictures! :) We have been going back and forth from here to thatcher, with Brandon working, and trying to get the house finished. VERY busy weekend

We went to mesa for the weekend to go house hunting. Three days of going from model to model was fun at first, but gets sooooo tiring. Very last minute, orrin and courtney told us to go take a look at the taylor woodrow homes, which where a bit pricey for us, but we decided to go look just for kicks. It ended up they where having a HUGE sale, and we got $60,000 off a spec home they had for sale, so we drove back down on monday to sign some papers, and around december 11th we will be closing on it. I'm soooo excited, and if any of you out there know anyone who wants a little 2-bed 1-bath house, we are gonna be selling ours!

We have decided to make a move back down to mesa, so that brandon can go to school full time, and be able to work a little bit. While I am sad to leave this cute little town, I am excited to be able to be getting a little bit bigger of a house, and be living by orrin and courtney. Rylee doesn't really understand, but if we say "do you want to live by adi and piper?" she gets really excited. I am excited for this new change in our lives!

So Rylee's new thing she likes to do is "style" my hair. So on monday she was "styling" my hair and I heard her spraying my hair with what I thought was hairspray. after a few squirts, I looked up to see her spraying my hair with...........................clorox anywhere spray:( after freaking out and giving my hair a good washing, I did have a good laugh. oh the joys of motherhood!

I went down to Courtney's house on wednesday, and spent the weekend shopping, breaking up fights between the girls, and Courtney teaching me how to digital scrapbook, and I must say, I am now addicted:) no mess, and it is sooooooooooo fun!!! I LOVE IT!

we went out and played in the dirt yesterday, one of rylee's favorite things to do:)

she mostly just got madden dirty, instead of digging. Madden didn't like the feel of the dirt,

but enjoyed the bath he got to take afterwards!

So Rylee added yet another word to her oh so sassy vocabulary....... "I DON'T CARE!!" great, just what I need to be hearing from my two-year-old:) not sure where she picked it up from ( I blame Brandon) Oh, the joys of being a mother!!!!

a fun weekend

Orrin and Courtney came up for the weekend. We had fun spending time with the family, courtney, my mom and I going to the quilt shop and scrapbook store, the guys shooting and playing raquet ball, the girls playing and fighting:) and porter and madden just chillin (porter letting madden attack his face). Sunday Adi and Piper helped me make homemade Ice cream for sunday dinner, and licked the bowl clean for me:) we went to the park and played (sorry I don't have pics of that, but courtney might on her sight) Ya, we all just had a good-old-time playin, and spending time together!!!!!

so madden has started crawling. what's the big hurry? why do they have to grow up so fast? oh the bitter-sweet of it. yes, now I have to vacuum my floor a million times a day, and keep him out of rylee's stuff :) let the fighting between my kids begin!

So I've been trying to figure out this blog thing, and we came down to mesa for the week-end, and Courtney has been showing me how to do it. We'll see how I do after we leave. I think I am the most computer illiterate person ever!!!!!
